Application for Support

HUGGSS Away From Home Foundation's mission is to fill the gaps in the funding provided by the state. By filling out our application for support, our review board will decide whether or not we can reimburse a full or partial amount, cover a specific fee, or provide a requested item.

To be eligible for support or reimbursement, you must meet the following criteria.

It must be determined that the request is made by, or on behalf of, a child who is living outside of their parental home. This includes foster, respite, and temporary placement.
The request must fall into one or more of the following categories:
- Medical
- School Materials
- School or Community Activities (school related such as athletics, band, choir, 4H, FFA, Theater, etc.)
- Camps
- Electronics
- Gifts
- Basic Needs (clothes, shoes, hygiene)

Please attach any documents that:

Will help to determine that the child is a child living outside of their parental home. In lieu of documentation, you may attach a brief summary of the situation as to why the child is not living at home.
Proof of residency can be shown by bringing in something that was mailed to your address, or other official paperwork or ID card that may indicate the same.
Receipts must be attached for a request for reimbursement.
